I signed up with Xoom thru ACN (OMG what a waste of money), and I didn't have a single month that went without issues. I couldn't make a payment on their website, couldn't do automatic billing, couldn't reach them over the phone later in the day or over the weekend and their customer service overall is very poor. Shady business, shady website, shady payment management system.

I signed up late 2019, they ended up canceling the preauthorized credit card on file for no good reason and then forgetting to send the bills out for several months. They did write an apology for the mess they had created but I was still hit with late fees since I had only updated the credit card info on my one account.. so instead of having one seams-less system with one account for both they have them separated and youll have to log in twice and select a different account on a little scroll down that is easy to miss.
Anyway long story short Ive spend an hour on the phone to no avail, theyll get the late fees they do badly wanted, but never my business again. ”
“ Xoom website is not the most user friendly. I was emailed regarding my account to select my new rate plan and had until 1/21/2020 to make a selection. On 1/21/2020 I switched providers due to the new rates. I was charged a $350 contract termination fee as customer service explained that I had another year left on my contract. A full year but yet they wanted me to select a new plan already. Very misleading to a consumer. Not helpful with customer service as they wanted me to return to get the fee waived. Poor website, poor customer service and DECEPTIVE business practices. Would not and could not recommend! ”
“ This place is a joke! I received my first bill with Xoom Energy as my supplier and their eaters were about $100 more than what my average bill looked like prior to switching. When I first switched to Xoom as my natural energy supplier I was told that they offered lower rates then my current supplier, the salesman lied to me, it was a hassle to switch and now Im stuck with them for two more months. Shop elsewhere before signing a contract with Xoom Energy. ”

“ Thought Xoom was like all the others competing. NO. They are hiding your bill. Don't believe me, go to there site and look for yourself. You can't find the invoice but they make it easy to charge your credit card with no backup. ”
“ I was disappointed with the handling of an issue with a contract. My understanding was interpreted differently than conveyed by the representative I spoke with and now I am stuck in a contract that I did not want, unless I pay a cancellation fee. Will not recommend their service. ”

“ Xoom energy had customer sign a fixed rate 12 month agreement and at termination of 12 months sent a renewal email offering a fixed or variable rate guarantee for the next year. I selected a fixed rate but the rate was not honored. I realized the rate was not honored. I called customer service and customer service indicated they had on file evidence of the fixed rate selection and that they would calculate the overcharges over the past 12 months as a variable rate was charged in error. The customer service representative indicated they would issue a credit (estimated at between $1,500 and $2,000). I did not receive the credit and when I called back asking for the status of the credit a supervisor indicated I had selected a variable rate via email(which is a bold faced lie). ”
“ They have fees for everything 10$ late fees. The bill is always high at least 70$ 20-30$ more than South. I only have hot water on gas and heat in the summer and in the summer months it's still 70$ they will charge you a 25$ fee if they disconnect. They are not willing to work with you at all it's a pretty bad company. They are in it strictly for the money with all the hidden fees and lack of assistance. Do not use this company it's highway robbery. ”

“ Xoom was billing me for gas for 6 months and never sent me a bill. I was under the impression service was terminated, and I zeroed out my account (per phone conversations)... however, I have been told that because I didn't submit a written termination, I am liable for charges that I never even knew they were charging me for. And at the same time, I was paying the utility company for gas. I was told too bad, I am basically double billed and have to pay it. And they could not clarify what the charges were. I was sent directly to collection over a year and a half later without any idea I was even still considered a "customer." Horrible company and I would never recommend. ”
“ My bill was $116, and one month late. No call, no notice sent they cut off my gas with no notice, then tell me I have to wait a week for it be put back on!! Don't waste your time with this Janky company. ”
“ They charge for the two months in advance. And then blame it on AGL who has nothing to do with the billing. I've never paid any bill for the current bill and the next as well. $80 in the middle of summer when only using my stove is not a deal, but a deal breaker. So, I will pay the penalty, because it is actually cheaper to do that and just move on. I should have never left Scana..... Now I'm back! DO NOT USE XOOM!!! ”

Called FOUR times to add a new service to my existing account.
1. Was informed that I need to be transferred to a different team so was put on hold. Was on hold for about 30 minutes EACH time and got a message that "We are unable to take this call, please call back". Did for 4 times and each time I was assured by the first agent that they will make sure I am not disconnected.
2. Had to pay the $250 deposit and provide ID even though I have an existing account and am a customer for over 4 years.
3. Starting a new service with XOOM is very frustrating and tedious. ”
“ Customer service is horrible. There was an ongoing issue with my deposit after it clearly had passed through my bank and every time i called xoom they always told me something different they are very un professional. DO NOT USE! ”

“ I signed up for 33thems then gas went up I conserved, went gas went down Xoom continued to raise their rates , trying to steal as much as they can from us, I am elderly, totally disabled and on a fixed income and they have no mercy or concern for their customers, only advised me to go and apply for government assistance. ”

Please check your gas bills I had Xoom energy for years and my contract expired. I received no notification and my rate went from$2.45 to $11.9 from an $87 bill to a $275. Charge me what they wanted for a month. They said they would do me a favor and continue ie my contract for $9. Another company gouging it customers. I went to Ohio Natural Gas @ $4.97 for 2 years locked on fixed
